Flying Swine Craft Snacks is a Veteran owned business based out of Toms River, NJ. The name Flying Swine pays homage to the owner’s time in the 82nd Airborne Division and his current love of skydiving. John is an 82nd Airborne Division Veteran with 2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 Tour in Iraq. After leaving the military he bounced around from job to job and then settled in at Backward Flag Brewing where he was introduced to the Arms2Artisians program.

The mission of A2A is to Foster the successful transition of Post 9/11 Veterans from military service to post service life through an artisan skills program by providing education, experience and a network of peer support.​ To learn more about A2A you can visit them at www.arms2artisians.com

Brenda is a social worker by trade. She has previously worked in many fields to include hospice, early childhood intervention, and Traumatic Brain Injury case management. She currently works as a Soldier and Family Readiness Specialist for the New Jersey National Guard. 

​

At the end of 2021, we decided it was time to take a leap and try something new. Our original recipe for our candied bacon was passed on to us from a friend and Veteran who we met after we moved to NJ. We took that recipe, played with it, and made it our own. We shared it with friends and family for years and now it was time to start sharing with all of you.
